The data honesty promise
Why some stats say "insufficient sample", what the sample badges mean, and why that is a feature.
Clashest has one hard rule: never fake a stat. Every number on the site traces back to a time window and a battle count. When there is not enough data to say something honestly, the page says so instead of guessing.
That is why you will sometimes see "insufficient sample" or an empty panel. It is not a bug — it means the battles behind that view have not been collected yet, or the filter you chose is very narrow.
Sample size
The number of battles behind a stat. Every win rate, usage rate, and rating shows or links to its battle count.
Insufficient sample
Fewer than 10 battles in the selected window. Below this, Clashest shows no win rate or rating at all.
Example · A deck seen in 7 battles shows "insufficient sample" instead of a misleading 71% win rate.
Minimum for ranking
A deck or card needs at least 50 battles in the window before it can be ranked or graded. Between 10 and 49 battles, stats display with a low-sample badge but never rank.
Sample confidence badges
| Badge | Battles in the window |
|---|---|
| High confidence | 1,000 or more |
| Medium confidence | 200 – 999 |
| Low confidence | 10 – 199 |
| Insufficient sample | Fewer than 10 — stat is hidden |
