December 2024 Update: Royal Chef, the First Offensive Tower Troop
The December 2024 update added Royal Chef, a Legendary Tower Troop that levels up your troops mid-battle, alongside Lucky Loop pass improvements and the final removal of Baby Goblins.
Royal Chef became the game's third Tower Troop and its first with an offensive twist. Instead of simply defending, the Legendary chef boosts your strongest deployed troop by one level every 18 seconds (slower while she is attacking), prioritizing units that have not yet been boosted and that still have at least 20% of their health.
Unlockable from Arena 13, Royal Chef pushed deck-building in a new direction — for the first time a tower slot could actively amplify a push rather than just answer one.
The update also announced the improved Lucky Loop for Pass Royale starting in January (daily Lucky Drops after pass completion, up to 28–35 per season), added more cosmetics to the Lucky Drop pool, completed the removal of Baby Goblins with compensation, and shipped quality-of-life changes like Deck Switcher support in event modes.
